What are the rag dolls from Tim Burton's 9, made of?
I was wondering while watching the movie what kind of materials the rag dolls were made from. I only know that 2 was made from a shoe, 3 and 4 were made from garden gloves, and 9 was made from a jacket. So wat about the others?

I'm trying to remember the title of a book about the Beans, a family of large dolls that come to life?
It was a chapter book that i read in elementary school, Bean might be spelled different like Been or Beane, i'm not sure. I think one of them was called Nouveau Bean. anyone know of it?

Unknown old, fragile dolls?
Upon an emptying of my passed away grandmother's house, my parents found a set of three, colored, tiny dolls. Two are about four inches in length, and one is two and a half inches. Each are covered in cloth, and the littlest has a tiny cloth diaper with tiny diaper pins. The cloth may be something my grandmother made. There's no brand markings on them that I can find, and to be honest they're a bit spooky. Big, painted eyes.... almost looks voodoo ish. The hair is separated into three pieces tied with now frayed string. I think they're made of porcelain, or bisque, maybe clay.If anyone can tell me what they are, if they're worth keeping, or just in general any ideas? My father calls them Americana Folk craft, and it does seem very folk y. Thinking about beginning sculpturing... and then doll sculpturing...?
Ok, I'm very inspired by these hard working artists that make realistic dolls. I want to start the long project of acquiring those skills. I'm going to take to take my school's Sculpture class next year to aid me in the journey So my questions are What types of clay are there their different purposes ? And what type of clay would be used to make a doll? I heard that you need wire before you begin slabbing clay down. What kind of wire, how thick, etc? Any other tools? To get into details of sculpturing, etc. A basic process?I'm very willing to take this on, one step at a time, so please don't look at me like I don't know what I'm trying to take on.Many thanks in advance Thumbs up to all the brilliant answers, and BA to BA D

Any one out there crochet barbie "bed" doll dresses?
I'm a beginner and anxious to get good at crocheting. So I have this become a little eager to buy Annie Attic patterns for bed dolls. My fear is that they will be so hard I will never learn to make them or make them soon. I want peoples opinion on how difficult they are to make?
